Engineered — a thick reclaimed wear layer over a dimensionally-stable core, so this same face goes down over concrete, radiant heat or a basement slab without cupping, in wider widths and longer lengths. A blended run of reclaimed hardwoods — oak, maple, pine and whatever the building gave up — sorted for a lively, varied floor with the weathered original face left intact. The most economical way into real reclaimed wood, and among the most characterful: no two boards, or two floors, alike. Available in a range of widths and grades — tell me the square footage and the room and I'll source it and grade it to match.
